Our Creations: The Hammer Tong

The Hammer-Tong

Created by Sid(myself :) ) in a fit of hurry when our hammer head broke. He grabbed a rusted tong and welded the hammer head onto it, making it the longest lasting hammer the MS garage has possessed yet.

Our Arsenal: The Tyre Corner

The Tyre Corner
The best capital goods NSIT Motorsports possess lie in the far left corner of the garage. 16 ATV tyres. The price offered by rival teams for these tyres goes up every season, but however crunched with money we are, we donot sell them. The reason is simple, the comfortable seating which they provide while at work... its priceless.

Our Arsenal: The Shocker bag

The Shocker Bag

Not surprisingly, NSIT Motorsports boasts of an impressive collection of shockers and dampers. Needless to say, the nature of tracks requires our suspensions to be as rugged and comfortable as possible. Our collection has developed with time as we tested and tried out various shocker damper combinations for our vehicles.

Our Arsenal: Fluid Storage

Fluid Storage

NSIT Motorsports fluid storage is where all liquids are kept in the garage. Kerosene, thinner, paints, polish, red oxide, gasoline.. all find home in the fluid storage and no welding is allowed near it. The fluid shelf is ingeniously made from a recycled transformer chassis :p

Legendary Quotes

Shanu - (when everyone was arguing about the best way to match two center points vertically)
"Yaar ek best idea batau... koi VERTICAL CHEEZ dhund ke lao"

Anshul - (he was trying to prove that two supposed-to-be-symmetric members were at different heights, and was using a very error prone jugaadu method for doing so)
"dono taraf maine measure kiya hai to both ways it is my own personal error and so it will get cancelled"

Khera - (to akshay who was comfortably settled on a tyre and catching his breath)
"apni ga**d hataenge?"

Sid - (to a throng of south indian participants around a tap at Baja SAE 2009, when he wanted to wash his hand)
"Hat Jao Vattiyon!"

Our Inventions: The Midha Joint

Midha Joint

The Midha joint was invented by Adesh way back in 2007 in South Africa. It is still the most reliable fixture for fixing a rear brake light onto the chassis, made from a simple combination of a clamp and two perpendicular bolts.

Our Inventions: The Bracket-tikka

The Bracket-Tikka

The bracket-tikka is the most attractive and the most visibly delicious arrangement of brackets ever made by the team MS2. It consists of piping hot brackets, hung on a welding electrode skewer and put on the workshop wall for cooling.
